Abidoye Michael
Odesola (FCA, FCNA, ACTI, CFE, AMT) is a seasoned Chartered Accountant and Tax
Expert with over three decades of professional experience in audit, taxation,
and financial management. As a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
of Nigeria (ICAN) and Certified National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), he has
cultivated a deep understanding of Nigeria's tax laws and accounting standards.
He is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and an Accredited Management
Trainer (AMT) recognized by the Centre for Management Development of Nigeria.
Mr. Odesola's
career began as an Audit Semi-Senior with Onwufuju Giwa Osagie & Co. before
moving on to become a Project Accountant and Administrative Assistant at
Africare/Nigeria, where he played a pivotal role in supervising account staff
and managing administrative duties for a large-scale maternal healthcare and
river blindness project. This project covered the Gongola and Borno States
before their division into Adamawa, Taraba, Yobe, and Borno States.
He later rose
through the ranks at Giwa Osagie & Co., where he has been serving as the
General Manager since 2015. In this role, he oversees client services across
the firm's Northern Offices in Yola and Abuja, representing clients in various
tax services, including computations, filings, and tax audits. Notably, he led
the firm's tax consultancy services for the Federal Inland Revenue Services
(FIRS) in the Large Taxpayer Office in Kano from 2017 to 2018.
Mr. Odesola's
expertise extends to being the Lead Tax Consultant and Auditor for prominent
clients such as the American University of Nigeria, AUN Hotel, Aspen
Distributors Company Ltd, and multiple microfinance banks and small-to-medium
enterprises across Nigeria. His strong leadership and analytical skills,
combined with his extensive experience in both the public and private sectors,
make him a valuable advisor in financial management, auditing, and tax
consultancy.
